Rotary Scrubber

High-Efficiency Ore Washer: Enhancing Ore Quality

Overview:

Our cost-effective ore washer serves as a reliable solution for upgrading the quality of crushed ore by efficiently removing clays, coatings, and fine particles through water. Designed for optimal performance, the recommended feed size is a minimum of 2 inches. Smaller feed sizes and softer materials may pose challenges to effective scrubbing.

Operating Principle:

The drum shell rotates at a low speed (10-20 rpm) via a chain or gear drive. Material, mixed with the necessary water content, enters one end, lifted by internal lifters and angle lifters for forward movement. The scrubbing action disintegrates clays and finer materials within the lumpy material. Longer scrubbing times are needed for higher clay percentages. Following scrubbing, the process involves washing and screening.

Constructional Features:

The cylindrical drum is supported on four carrying rollers or two trunnion bearings. Thrust rollers restrict axial movement. Liners and lifters, made of rubber or steel, are fitted inside the drum. The drive includes a motor, coupling, gearbox, and chain or gear and pinion. A Trommel Screen at the discharge end removes rough and unwanted material from the washed product.
