Grinding Mills for Versatile Industrial Applications

Our Grinding Mills find widespread application in industries such as Cement, Fire-resistant materials, Fertilizer, Porcelain, Glass, and Mineral Processing (e.g., Iron Ore, Lead Zinc Ore, Copper Ore, Uranium Ore).

Operating Principle:

Grinding occurs within a rotating cylindrical drum or shell, partially filled with spherical or cylindrical grinding media. The material enters from one end, undergoes grinding, and exits from the other. The drum’s rotation tumbles the grinding media and the material, causing sufficient impact stresses to fracture the material.

Constructional Features of Ball Mill:

  • Feed Chute: Fabricated steel pipe with an inside liner.
  • Feed Sleeve: Mild steel or cast steel with forwarding spirals and efficient sealing arrangements to prevent slurry leakage.
  • Discharge Sleeve: Fabricated or cast steel with reversing spirals.
  • Discharge Trommel: Mild steel with rubber lining and forwarding spirals for efficient material discharge.
  • Mill Head: Fully integral cast design.
  • Head with Trunnion: Rotating part bolted at each end, fully polished to minimize friction.
  • Mill Shell: Fabricated from steel plate, the main body of the mill.
  • Mill Bearing: Removable, self-aligning, babbitted insert with oil lubrication system, supporting the entire mill load.
  • Mill Liners: Variety of lifter designs, cast from High Chrome, Manganese steel, or wear-resistant Rubber.
  • Girth Gear: Bolted at one end of the Mill Shell, integral with the shaft or keyed, generated with precision up to 8-meter gear diameter and 50 module.
  • Drive System: Consists of Motor, high-speed coupling, reducer, low-speed coupling connecting the reducer output shaft to pinion shaft. Auxiliary drive provided for erection and maintenance, comprising an auxiliary motor, couplings, reducer, and brake.
